PKL supply a range of temporary kitchens and dining facilities to hire, to enable the continued provision of school meals during periods of kitchen refurbishment and upgrade.

Temporary kitchens can either be linked to existing school buildings or supplied as part of a kitchen and dining complex. We have a range of over 900 Portable Kitchens and ancillary support units ensuring that we can supply the temporary catering facilities to suit your exact requirements, regardless of whether you are serving 10, 100 or 1000 school meals per day.

We have designed a range of Proven Packages, combinations of our Portable Kitchens and support units linked together to form larger kitchen facilities that we have developed from our experience of supplying 1000’s of temporary kitchen hires. Proven packages can either be used to provide a quick and effective solution to your school dining requirements, or as a starting point to designing a facility to your exact needs.

Although specified for temporary use, our Portable Kitchens are sometimes onsite at schools for a number of years, either where there is a larger scale redevelopment of school kitchen facilities, or where a school has not yet made a decision regarding the long term future of the provision of catering.

Our temporary facilities can also be used to provide emergency cover for school kitchens if they are faced with a shut down due to unforeseen circumstances.
